Let's run across if this works. This is the principal desk-bound expanse (which is two conference tables in an L-shape), although I've since upgraded to a 19" LCD flat-panel monitor. This has the computer, the monitor and the scanner/copier on information technology.

And this is the righthand portion of the Fifty-shaped desk, where the TV, reference books for my freelance proofreading, and the light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation printer are. (Note the Neo on the desk.)

Other writing spot is my bed where I have the book most Palm Embankment Richest fools handy for reference. Likewise, lovely silk flowers to assist me envision a proper garden, and stuff animals to charm me.

chaimann, I see I'm non the only one to have discovered the wonders of using conference tables as desktops. (So versatile to conform more than than one!) Also, I go along my crocheting within a foot of my laptop here in the living room besides. For those times when I need to think and plot but don't desire to stare uselessly into space. At least while crocheting I'm nonetheless getting something washed....

I love the manner about of us post our computers with the NaNo forums up on the screen. :) :)

Sarah R -- your infant looks so fascinated by the estimator screen. By age 5 he'll be typing 90wpm, I bet. :) Funny how all my kids can type like the wind (bear upon typists, all) but most of 'em have horrid handwriting.

I estimate I was/am part of that transitional generation that actually had to write things by manus in school only now types everything. My kids simply type everything. :)

writeagain04....Hope this helps you! It's equally step-by-step as I can think to do information technology....

1. Click on "You" at the peak of this screen.

2. In the drop-downwards, choose "Upload Photos."

3. Under "Find the image(southward) you lot desire on your calculator," you'll see some rectangular boxes, each with a clickable "Browse..." to the right of information technology.

4. Click on the get-go "Browse..." This volition bring upwards a dialog box you tin employ to notice the photograph you want on your computer.

five. Observe the photo you want and click "Open."

6. When yous're done choosing, click the bluish "Upload" button (you might have to scroll down a tiny bit to run into this).

7. After it is washed "uploading" and "processing," you will encounter the photograph and can edit the name and clarification of the photo and then click "Relieve." Now it's part of your photostream here on Flickr.

8. To get it here in a mail service, click on it. Click on the tiny "All Sizes" (just above the picture show itself). Ordinarily the largest one shows up first. Choose which size y'all want to mail service in the thread and click on that (Medium, Small, etc.).

9. Then do as information technology says and highlight and copy the HTML (all of it) in that box under the picture size you've chosen.

x. Come back here to this thread, hit "reply."

eleven. Paste the stuff you've copied right into the answer window/box here and and so when you're done, click "Post Now."

12. To add together text to your reply too, just position the cursor either earlier or subsequently all that HTML (Non in the middle of any of it!) and type your words, which will and then appear around the photo, either earlier or after, depending on where you typed it.

Hither's mine. Really only two things that are of import for me. The monitor is a 32" sharp LCD, on which I can fit three pages side-past-side. I find this handy as I take a lot of dialog threads that come and go, and being able to meet something a character said a few pages back keeps it fresh in my mind (it also leads to unwanted editing, which tin can be a trouble).
The keyboard is a Kinesis Proverb, which I love. You can accept it lay flat like a normal keyboard, or split up it at whatever angle you like, as well as different height adjustments. The lack of numeric keypad is ideal (to me), every bit information technology allows for the keyboard to be centered nether the monitor, making long writing sessions easier on the back.

Yup, this is all I need for NaNoWriMo; a comfty, not, calculator chair, some of my drawings, a shelf of books, my pet, Fish, and a bottle of h2o, and a computer with OneNote and Microsoft Word. I assure you, every bit deadline comes closer an closer my desk will get messier and messier. My mom made me clean today and thats the only reason its clean. unremarkably there are many, many drinks, thus the reasin for two coasters, and i accept papers and notebooks everywhere! As well right behind me is the footboard of my bed wich is usefull for setting stuff to go out of my way. I also accept a nice big, loud pair of speakers on my dresser behind me where i can plug in my ipod and jam to tune out my dad when he watched mma fighting at an excessively loud volume in the living room.
